There might not be any pictures this time. I didn’t save any pictures. I’m just imagining it myself.
Learn about the control. This is the first time I have learned about rig. How should I put it? It’s just very novel. Just two simple clicks can make a character move under the movement of the main controller. However, I have no idea which part I missed. My character didn’t get moving. Damn it!
It doesn’t matter. I can study it on my own later.
In fact, I understand that mastering Control Rig is not about learning a new tool, but acquiring a new animation language. This language enables me to describe the causes of movement with mathematics and logic rather than just the results, and to express the intentions of performance with algorithms rather than just the presentation.
When I can define a rule system for how a character breathes while running, how they clench their fists when nervous, and how they hunch their backs when tired, what I create is not an animation sequence, but the character’s motor personality. This is a qualitative change from making animations to creating living digital life.
