Walk Cycle

1.5

  • 1. Find some references, observe frame by frame and create my first walk cycle blocking.
Feedback 1
  • 2. After feedback 1, I further improved my walk cycle.
    • The degree of body tilt has been modified.
    • The details have been modified to the position and extent of the foot movement.
    • Change the curve to prevent the feet from slightly shifting between frames.
Feedback 2
  • 3. After feedback 2, I further modified my walk cycle work and completed the final project.
    • Change the range of motion of the sole and heel of the foot.
  • 4. CONCLUSION: Walking seems easy, but in fact, no one walks the same way. This might be the difference between machines and humans. In animations, we can modify frame by frame to make it look as lively as a real person. And this process requires repeated and cyclical modifications bit by bit. After many attempts, I finally stopped seeing “frames” and began to see “breath”. Could this be a breakthrough? Or it’s numbness? I’m not sure. However, in my world, it seems to be happy. Even with my efforts, its steps seem so heavy.
