Course – Sequencer and Cinematic

WEEK 3

New thing, new thing! It’s the camera! We’re saved! (Forget about this child who likes to shout at words, anyway.)

This week I tried Sequencer and CineCamera. In fact, it’s not difficult to operate this thing, but I didn’t understand it in class, I didn’t grasp the principle of this setting at first. I just followed the teacher’s demonstration and tried to make the use of the camera.

(The following is the result of my re-operation after class)

Actually, I did a review after class. The positioning of Sequencer in the engine is to master the professional processes of track hierarchical management, shot sequence nesting, and master-slave sequence collaboration. Setting up the movement of a single shot inside seems like stepping into the threshold of making a film from here. This is very interesting.

There is still a lot to learn and think about extending from this point. For instance:

  • Advanced camera language research
    • In-depth analysis of the use of camera shots by film masters, reproduction and experimentation in the engine.
  • Programmatic lens System
    • Explore the creation of an intelligent camera system through blueprints to achieve adaptive composition.
  • Stylized Exploration of Real-time Rendering
    • Studying How to Achieve Non-Realistic Rendering cut scenes with UE.

This has provided me with the tools and language to participate in this media revolution, allowing me to tell truly touching stories in the virtual world with my own hands. This possibility of creation itself is the most powerful motivation for learning.
